This is why we take repairs seriously. When repairing a rug, we consider the artisan’s skill, methods, and intent. Our goal is to allow the original beauty shine through, and to make repairs so seamless they are virtually unnoticed. We stock our repair rooms with a variety of dyes, threads, and repair materials to ensure we can provide any service you need.
When your rug is damaged, it is important to get it repaired quickly to preserve your carpet. Our repair services include, but are not limited to:
Re-knotting. We have obsessively studied the knotting and weaving methods of various cultures to ensure we can effectively re-knot any rug that comes to us. We prefer to see close-up photos of the original craftsmanship; however, if you don’t have details of the original work, our experts will confer with one another to determine the best method for re-knotting. While we do have machines that can re-knot, our preferred method is to perform this repair by hand if possible.
Fringe Repair. Many a fringe has fallen victim to an overzealous vacuum cleaner or a pet that mistook it for a toy. No matter the cause, we can repair frayed and tangled fringes. Our primary goal is to de-knot the original fringe and make repairs if needed. However, if the fringe is beyond repair, we will replace it and ensure the work is as close to the original as possible. Most people cannot even tell the fringe was replaced! Occasionally a customer will ask if we can add a fringe to a rug, and we can. During your complimentary in-home evaluation, we will discuss your style preferences to determine the best way to add fringe to your rug.
Stitching or Patching. Our experts can repair holes and replace worn fabric with stitching that matches the original artisan’s work as closely as possible. Patching holes is more challenging, but this is a vital fix that helps stop more damage to the compromised fabric. We have a wide variety of threads, fabrics, and dyes to help blend our repair work into your rug.
Adding Loops. Many customers choose to display their rugs on a wall. We can easily add mounting loops to ensure your rug looks beautiful as wall décor.

Whenever possible, we repair by hand. While we do have machines at our disposal, they are only used when their benefits outweigh those of stitching or repairing by hand. We believe the highest service we can provide is our time and attention to detail.
